Hello there Alex, I will have the same problem with the screws and by a few of the comments, other folks will need to have the same issue whether they realise it or not. I was careful but somehow have stripped the plastic material threads. I'm going to experiment with superglue to try to create a fresh screwthread that will hold the screws properly and invite the whole plastic little bit to clamp tightly to the steel shaft.
