The balance bar at the top must be completely free to move up and down (and take the rotors with it) as this is actually the 'gyro' that makes the control easier and ceases it flying in drunken circles. I ran mine into a seat and am currently surviving on a split pin created out of the paperclip, melted into the plastic portion of top of the rotors and glued set up.
