My first drone was the Parrot Bebop and it sat in its package for months. The very last time I flew it however there was a lttle bit of breeze coming from my right so I was careful to keep it low as it could barely proceed to the right at all. I got hovering the drone in front of me which meant possessing the right stay completely over to the right and pressed the button at the top left nook of the transmitter which alternates between high and low swiftness. To my delight, the drone leaned more to the right, didn't lose any altitude and power straight into the breeze. The whole thing became a lot more responsive which can not be so great for a first trip but it's perfect for when there's a pesky breeze!
