Howdy Alex, I now have the same problem with the screws and by a few of the comments, other people will need to have the same concern whether they understand it or not. I got very careful but somehow have stripped the cheap threads. I'll experiment with superglue to try to create a new screwthread that will hold the screws properly and invite the whole cheap bit to clamp strongly to the material shaft.
