I am really enjoying flying drones lately. I thought my child might enjoy it but it turns out I acquired the insect. However, following a few test flights I learned a valuable lessons or two.

This example simplifies the rotors forces and occasions as a table lookup that comes back the causes and moments depending on rotor revolutions each and every minute (RPMs). It uses a first order system to model the dynamics of the element electric electric motor and rotor edge assembly. You can change the dynamics to another order linear and nonlinear response by changing the Variations.Actuators composition in the workspace. To find out more on subsystem variations see Model Variants ).

The team of searchers that I have formed continues to offer support and knowledge of the area. As I remind them that, I am Clueless in Orlando, that drives these to want to instruct me even more. Oh, the things I have learned. I have learned about people, places and things i never really had a need to find out before, but I will have this information in my own brain's database. I occur with a hangover and I really do not drink! But, I have already been considering to start out!

some more in lighter breeze conditions also to test the headless flying mode and automated return to home flying methods. I was very impressed about how the JJRC H5C RC Quadcopter treated in the calmer conditions with great hovering and brilliant flips it was a pleasure to take a flight. It was much quicker than I expected it to be and both headless flying method and automatic return to home worked a delicacy. Syma are soon to be launching a headless mode version with their X5C Explorers the Syma X5SC RC Quadcopter CLICK THIS LINK with a headless flying mode. That is more likely to retail at practically $20 more than the H5C Explorers and I'm doubtful as to whether it has an automatic return to home button. I love the Syma X5C Explorers as I was the first model of this size I had but for value for money the JJRC H5C  RC Quadcopter appears untouchable.

If you are interested in a slightly bigger quad copter with a little more capability, browse the Hubsan X4 quad copter. An rc drone makes its goes because of this of an electric flight controller responding to your keep inputs. Very quite simply speaking, the airline flight controller changes the speed of the correct motors appropriately, and the ensuing changes of thrust goes the smallest drone with Camera in the required direction.

Update 06/09/12 - Since I at first wrote this, frame prices have come down greatly. The DJI F450 and the Q450 from HobbyKing are very low priced, durable frames that make great starter structures. Like the F450, HobbyKing also offers an upgraded version of the Q450 that has a built in PCB , so a wiring harness is not required. These frames are so cheap, it rarely makes since to try and build your own if you don't just like to tinker. Also, I've since purchased the VC-450 from HoverThings. It is my favorite frame. However, it has been discontinued. It was changed by an upgraded framework called the HT-450 which is a lttle bit more expensive.
