It just reads such as a movie or a novel puzzle. How surreal this must be for you! I intended to go to sleep an hour earlier but instead read through this complete thing. The only draw back to using a real radio is obviously having to keep it on charge, and needing to set up different models when changing from one airplane or helicopter to the next. I set up 2 models, a Phoenix AP and a Phoenix Heli. Didn't start seeking to fix mine yet when i am awaiting reply from extreme fliers. It seems the customer service isn't very responsive... Maybe I will try give it a try to see what happens to my chopter. Would have liked to obtain given a real product review, but since we have not received our order 7 days right after paying for a 2-3 day delivery, I guess what you'll get is a caution that they can take your cash, and you'll get it maybe (since we haven't). Suggestion is to do your purchasing elsewhere.
But the Phantom 4 is pricey, so the Phantom 3 series is still on the radar of many a drone shopper. There's the aforementioned Standard model for entry-level consumers. You can step up to the Phantom 3 4K, which uses the same Wi-Fi control system as the Standard-but ups the video tutorial image resolution to 4K. Also selling in that cost range is the Phantom 3 Advanced, which reports video recording at up to 2.7K but offers the same rock-solid Lightbridge streaming and control system on the Phantom 3 Professional and Phantom 4.
As an additional point, the Q4 uses Hubsan's standard radio data website link. This means that should you curently have the X4 controller you may use this to regulate the Q4. For many people this is great addition as the controller is bigger plus some find this more comfortable. The X4 controller also has throttle and yaw trim and you could also put it to use to carefully turn the Q4's LED's on and off if you wish.
Batteries - Not all micro drones for sale at costco can swap out batteries without desoldering - this makes trip time important to consider. September 10th - We continue steadily to await the Santa Fe PD to finish their research and either close the case or proceed frontward. As y'all know by now, the Santa Fe PD works at their own pace, which is quite slowly. It requires 10,000mah of 4 cell Lipo batteries (two 5000's) to accomplish about ~10 minutes of trip time at 4KG total weight.
