Canada's chief of defence staff declared this week that the Canadian army needs new drones and he would like those drones to be equipped - an upgrade it doesn't come without its show of controversy.

Thanks for the tip about adding a rubber sleeve on the pins at the top rotor. I did a repair with only a pair of metal pins in the hole I drilled in the clear plastic and after one or two accidents the pins have vanished, presumably dropped out. I also acquired a problem with the charger socket being taken right off the printed circuit board, due to the 'copter dropping off the office during charging, and needing to be re-soldered.

Smart commercial drones have a pc inside. They are simply easy to travel, maneuverable remotely, contain sensor logic. Soon all smart Drones with camera will have computer powered collision avoidance technology making the soaring more reliable. Universal remote procedure occurs in the context of an workflow and sensors. Cameras are bettering dramatically allowing management of video tutorial and picture taking that is genuine and detailed.

This past weekend we had Dave and Scott who experienced an effective drone mission. These two guys hiked for over 12 time on Saturday going out of no log unturned. They required many photos on the way for our virtual searchers to check out for possible hints. They also experienced a few rattlesnakes and bullsnakes, but those slithering snakes didn't deter Dave and Scott from completing their quest to help find Randy. Kudos to them!

DARPA says that the UAV uses a commercial DJI Flamewheel built in with a 3DR Pixhawk autopilot for the airframe, among other adornments. Perhaps most impressive is that unit can hit rate even transporting sonar, inertia receptors and an HD camera on such a small body. Oh, and the demonstration trip in the video tutorial below was totally autonomous. That's right, zero pilots were involved with getting the drone around the stacks of containers and whatnot here.
