I used to be doing some measurements and getting some unpredictable data once... averaging helped a lttle bit, but still there have been fluctuations. I needed an idea which worked well... I got 10 readings, then threw away the Best Quadcopter For The Money 2 and the cheapest 2 readings. I then averaged the remaining 6 readings.. the info became much more stable. Depending how quickly you can read and evaluate the data, you may take 20 readings, then throw out the upper and lower 5... and average the rest of the 10. Fine tune it until you get a good sample that maintains consistancey.
