Hello there Alex, I now have the same problem with the screws and judging by a few of the comments, other folks must have the same issue whether they appreciate it or not. I got very careful but somehow have stripped the plastic threads. I'm going to test out superglue to try to create a fresh screwthread that will contain the screws properly and allow the whole clear plastic tad to clamp securely to the metal shaft. I'll inform you how it will go!
