this is a crock. dont misunderstand me, i really like my phantom and ive treasured learning to really take a flight it. its a fantastic quadrotor for the purchase price and features. nevertheless, you didnt mention any of the performance features that the 3dr solo has. the orbit and cable cam ability alone on the solo smokes a phantom all day. im not saying its difficult to learn to fly something similar to a phantom and film with it, because it has a trip training sim built into the app. but you may take a solo out of the box and accomplish great aerial images as a total novice. this is something you cannot do with a phantom, period. granted, you are limited to gopros (for the present time) with the solo, but who cares? the only difference between a single and the others is modularity". laughable, but this is an enormous difference. this article is biased crap. log off the dji bandwagon.
