Hi Alex, I now have the same problem with the screws and judging by a few of the comments, other people will need to have the same concern whether they appreciate it or not. I was very careful but somehow have stripped the cheap threads. I'll experiment with superglue to attempt to create a fresh screwthread that will hold the screws properly and invite the whole clear plastic little bit to clamp solidly to the metallic shaft. I'll let you know how it goes!
