Rated 4 out of 5 by MickeyD1983 from Better than what I expected I've purchased many RC aeroplanes, but from the box there have been always 'expected' changes to be made and an expectation it wouldn't perform just how that may be viewed on videos or in descriptions right from the box. This is completely different. It is so smart! I didn't recognize that it acquired so any high tech sensors. This thing basically hovers itself in a cluttered shut space out of the box. It has an artificial intelligence feel to it. It was well designed. It appears to be strong material surrounded by Styrofoam and that's my only concern I guess. Nonetheless it truly is a real drone in small level so I recommend it.
I'd say Phoenix is approximately as realistic as you can get without going to the field. Airplanes and helicopters are incredibly close to the real thing. I came across that the Phantom was a little easier to journey on the sim but nonetheless it offers you some hands on experience before trying the real thing.
