I've just received this shape and set up it, here are my first impressions: - A very well made design, no obvious flaws in manufacturing. (I couldn't find any yet!) - It goes together easily. Use the pictures on Hobbyking to work it out, I began with the 'ft' parts then the centre, then finally I joined up with it all together with the tubing. - It appears like a work of art when assembled, it appears a shame to load this with wiring and motors! - I bought the suggested 2730 motor unit and Plush 12A ESC. The inter-hole distance on the motor mount seems somewhat small for the openings on the frame but I don't think its impossible. I haven't yet installed the motors because the electric motor shaft protrudes somewhat from underneath so I will need to buy some spacers/washers. - The ESC appears very well made. Overall, I think it appears like a great framework and I cannot wait to obtain it hovering!

this is a crock. dont misunderstand me, i really like my phantom and ive treasured understanding how to really soar it. its a fantastic quadrotor for the purchase price and features. nevertheless, you didnt mention the performance features that the 3dr solo has. the orbit and cable cam ability by itself on the solo smokes a phantom all day. im not declaring its difficult to figure out how to fly something similar to a phantom and film with it, because it has a air travel training sim included in the app. but you may take a solo from the box and accomplish great aerial shots as an entire novice. this is something you cannot do with a phantom, period. granted, you are limited by gopros (for now) with the single, but who cares? the only real difference between a single and the others is modularity". laughable, but this is a HUGE difference. this article is biased crap. log off the dji bandwagon.
