Greetings Alex, I now have the same problem with the screws and by some of the comments, other people will need to have the same issue whether they realise it or not. I got very careful but somehow have stripped the plastic threads. I'm going to test out superglue to try to create a fresh screwthread that will contain the screws properly and invite the whole plastic bit to clamp tightly to the metal shaft.
