Regardless of how carefully you take flight your micro RC quad, expect around 5 time of cumulative flight time (i.e. about 40 to 50 plane tickets) before the motors burn up. Taken into perspective, it is not too harmful to an initial quad as you'd have clocked enough mileage to go to bigger models by enough time the motors start declining. It will require some soldering and electronics skills to replace the motors that happen to be also easily available at low cost.
