The DJI phantom 3 pro,if you need a case,extra electric battery, extra group of props ect, it'll set you back right at $2000. The Yuneec Q500 4k includes all that for $1299. But remember this, the q500 is not a racing quadcopter. It's for aerial photography,not sporting and since it slower, it's a great 1st quadcopter. You virtually have to go out of the right path to crash it. Also from my research,Yuneec has a great customer servive where DJI does not.
I've an AR Drone and for the most part I love it. There are 3rd party flying apps that have gamepad support which make it much more like soaring a radio handled one. All of the features that go to making it stable and easy to journey do work against learning to fly. The downside is the video tutorial is not actually good enough for aerial photography. Respectable enough for FPV. The largest downside IMO is the number. You are blessed to get 50 meters from these devices. You will find ways to increase that but how much would you like to spend most find the AR as a result of cost being much more affordable then other similiar size HD FPV units. The Bebop will still have range issues but early video seems to indicate that it is much better for aerial photography. If there ends up being truly a way to support gamepads then it steps to being more of player. The 400 us dollars for the controller is crazy Parrot.
