Yuneec's Q500 experienced us feeling such as a kid on Christmas morning once we unpacked it. Approximately 16.5 in . long and standing just over 8 inches tall, the Q500 weighs just under 4 pounds with the battery and payload both attached. From the pack, the drone includes two pieces of rotors, all necessary plug-ins and adapters, a 16GB Sdcard pre-loaded with tutorial videos, the ST10+ Personal Ground Station controller, and a built-in 4K-capable camera.
One of the most recent prosecutions for against the law drone use under the ANO was with regards to a tiny drone with a camera that was flown over a number of Premier Group soccer grounds, the Houses of Parliament, the Queen Victoria Memorial at Buckingham Palace and across the North Loan provider of the River Thames in London. The charges related to breaches of Articles 166 (3) and 167(1) & (2)(a) of the ANO. The drone pilot, Mr Wilson, pleaded guilty to four charges of soaring small unmanned security aircraft over a congested area and pleaded guilty to five charges of not maintaining direct visual contact with a small unmanned surveillance plane. Mr Wilson was fined £200 for each offence (£1,800) and purchased to pay £600 in costs and a £20 surcharge and was ordered to forfeit the drones and camcorders.
Getting the drone out for a spin on a great sunshiney day is wonderful, but is it possible to actually journey it anywhere? In essence, the answer is yes, you can. However, there are a few rules. First, you are not allowed to take a flight near or higher other people. This is for safe practices reasons, as drones often crash and you do not desire to be held accountable for someone's accident. Second, you are not allowed to travel near or over air-port or any military services objects. This is somewhat self-explanatory - they'll think you are a spy and game over. So when choosing a perfect place, think of a deserted, open space where you could have an eye on you drone at all times and where nobody else goes. For example a beach, a field etc.
July 17th - We continue to await verification of the real human remains. This process could take a while. I can share that the body was found upstream from the raft area. The body was found by someone coming to the right place at the right time.
