Howdy Alex, I now have the same problem with the screws and by a few of the comments, other folks must have the same concern whether they realise it or not. I was very careful but somehow have stripped the cheap threads. I'm going to experiment with superglue to try to create a new screwthread that will hold the screws properly and allow the whole cheap tad to clamp strongly to the metal shaft.
