Well-known drone-maker Parrot has been drawing quite a few onlookers to its booth at CES with two high-flying enhancements to its robotic lineup: the MiniDrone and the Jumping Sumo. The MiniDrone is a little quadcopter that can journey in the air and move along the bottom using detachable wheels, as the Jumping Sumo is a remote-controlled floor bot that leaps in to the air by using a high-powered piston.
I tried an AirDog prototype more than a year ago , and Engadget received another look recently as well. But it was only last month that we finally acquired a peek at the version you can actually buy. I've flown a number of drones , but AirDog differs in a few key ways. It's better to use (virtually drive a button and go), and it's really made to fit an active lifestyle (more on this later). Some people travel without blade guards but if, like me, you're a newbie, I would definitely recommend attaching them. They're quite fragile but don't fret, they're very cheap to replace!
