I was doing some measurements and getting some unpredictable data once... averaging helped a lttle bit, but still there have been fluctuations. I had formed an idea which functioned well... I required 10 readings, then threw away the highest 2 and the cheapest 2 readings. I then averaged the rest of the 6 readings.. the data became much more stable. Depending how quickly you can read and measure the data, you may take 20 readings, then get rid of the upper and lower 5... and average the rest of the 10. Fine melody it until you get a good test that maintains consistancey.
