There are several spectacular close-up drone videos on YouTube of erupting volcanoes in the Bardarbunga volcanic system in Iceland considered with a higher definition camera attached to a drone. These videos would be extremely difficult to take other way without putting the person at risk of serious accidents or risking their life. The video shown here was considered with a GoPro camera installed on the drone. Sadly, the GoPro camera zoom lens were melted along the way to take these extraordinary images. There is even a circumstance where a handful of drones were sacrificed to use images such as this one in Vanuatu by several photographers
Solder is solf but it packages very hard after heating. It's soft such as easy to document into the condition of the pins but I believe it will be strong enough for this purpose. Mines acquired a few crashes and it appears to be standing up to the job. I will have a photo of what I've done and post it on my website, maybe today or first thing tomorrow as I must go out in about one hour. I'll post a web link if it is done. OK, I'll say that that I have very mixed emotions about rc drones. For a start, I personally don't like the name drone. Each and every time I listen to it, I believe of something like the Reaper rather than friendly little radio manipulated aircraft. Nonetheless it looks like we must live with the name, since this is the name that the advertising - and today manufacturers of these - are forcing us to look at.
The first-person view (FPV) from the camera is a large update from the Phantom 2 Perspective+. The quality of the feed is much better, and the bond is pretty sound. This makes the soaring experience way much cooler, as possible reliably put it to use to see wherever the quad is (depth notion is trickier than you think). The true gain, though, is how much it improves your photography. I've acquired so many pictures ruined because the framing was even only a little off, or the tilt of the camera was incorrect. The Phantom 3 takes away those problems, giving you a reliable, clear view of your shot.
