Flew it within my friends house last night. It had been about 30 ft away and I lost reference to its WiFi signal. It got in a neighbors fenced in backyard where I could not retrieve it, plus they wouldn't normally give it back.
Video quality-wise, you can expect something close to that of any good smartphone camera these days, but due to the basic single-axis gimbal, the shoot video can be just a bit shaky scheduled to a good light bit of wind. Software stabilization can only do so much. Alternatively, unless you brain forking out €415 (about $560), you can test 's dual-axis, brushless gimbal set for the Phantom 2 Eyesight.
