There are many amazing close-up drone videos on YouTube of erupting volcanoes in the Bardarbunga volcanic system in Iceland used with a higher definition camera installed on a drone. These videos would be almost impossible to take any other way without adding the person at risk of serious injury or risking their life. The video tutorial shown here was used with a GoPro camera installed on the drone. Unfortunately, the GoPro camera zoom lens were melted in the process to have these outstanding images. There may be even a circumstance where a handful of drones were sacrificed to use images similar to this one in Vanuatu by a group of professional photographers with the Country wide Geographic magazine. Clearly, these images were well worth it.
