In this blog, I'm carrying on my exploration of what Chris Anderson's company DIY Drones has done in using open-source methods to create products that are exponentially less expensive to make.
The UDI U818A HD+ RC Quadcopter Drone is great for many who want to apply with a cheaper drone before buying a more expensive one. The camera snaps decent-quality images at up to 1280x960 image resolution, and it's excellent in low-light situations. The video camera can stream live to your smartphone, or it can be established to store the video footage/images to the onboard storage space device. The USB cable connection makes it easy to copy your footage/images from the drone to your computer. While the range on the drone is not ideal (significantly less than 100 ft), it zips through mid-air with surprising acceleration.
