I have an AR Drone and generally I really like it. You can find 3rd party flying apps that have gamepad support that make it a lot more like traveling a radio handled one. All of the features that go to which makes it stable and easy to take a flight do work against understanding how to fly. The disadvantage is the video is not actually good enough for aerial photography. Decent enough for FPV. The largest drawback IMO is the range. You are blessed to get 50 meters from the device. You will find ways to increase that but how much would you like to spend most get the AR because of the cost being a lot more affordable then other similiar size HD FPV systems. The Bebop will still have range issues but early video seems to indicate that it is much improved for aerial photography. If there eventually ends up being truly a way to support gamepads then it steps to being more of player. The 400 dollars for the controller is crazy Bird.
