for some advice. Purchasing a drone for my daugther (16) who is quite definitely into photography and videography (has a gopro too) but don't want to break your budget. Been reading reviews on Syma 8xg as well as Phantom 3 Standard. Obviously I like the price point of Syma but not sure if for her first drone I should be biting the bullet and purchasing the Phantom 3 Standard for what it offers. Any advice or other suggestions would be greatly welcomed!

A word about legislation: Drones occupy a unique space somewhere within traditional airplane and remotely manipulated toys. The Federal government Aviation Company (FAA) regulations presently do not usually connect with hobbyists. If you're investing in a drone for business, check up on local and federal government regulations; they are changing as the FAA moves to create a space for UAVs in the Country wide Airspace System. It's been reported by the Wall Streets Journal that the FAA may soon require commercial drone providers to have a license. The company is also considering restricting flights to daylight hours, and other suggested legislation includes requiring the drone to hover below 400 foot and within eyesight of the individual controlling the plane. These are not in effect as of our publication day, but be aware that changing legislation for commercial drones are in the works.
