I have just received this frame and built it, here are my first impressions: - A very well made design, no apparent flaws in creation. (I couldn't find any yet!) - It moves together easily. Utilize the pictures on Hobbyking to work it out, I started with the 'legs' parts then your centre, then finally I joined up with it all together with the tubes. - It appears like a masterpiece of design when assembled, it appears a shame to load this with wires and motors! - I bought the advised 2730 motor and Plush 12A ESC. The inter-hole distance on the motor mount seems somewhat small for the holes on the frame but I don't believe its impossible. I haven't yet attached the motors because the motor unit shaft protrudes just a little from the bottom so I will need to buy some spacers/washers. - The ESC looks perfectly made. Overall, I think it looks like a great frame and I can't wait to obtain it hovering!

this is a crock. dont misunderstand me, i really like my phantom and ive loved learning how to make a drone with Camera really travel it. its an excellent quadrotor for the price and features. nevertheless, you didnt mention any of the performance features that the 3dr single has. the orbit and cable tv cam ability exclusively on the solo smokes a phantom all day. im not declaring its difficult to learn to fly something similar to a phantom and film with it, since it has a air travel training sim included in the app. nevertheless, you can take a solo out of the box and accomplish great aerial photos as a complete amateur. this is something you can do with a phantom, period. granted, you are limited to gopros (for the present time) with the solo, but who cares? the only real difference between a solo and the others is modularity". laughable, but this is an enormous difference. this article is biased crap. get off the dji bandwagon.
