The DJI phantom 3 pro,if you want a case,extra power supply, extra set of props ect, it'll set you back right at $2000. The Yuneec Q500 4k includes all the for $1299. But bear in mind this, the q500 is not a auto racing quadcopter. It's for aerial photography,not race and since it slower, it's a great 1st quadcopter. You virtually have to walk out your way to crash it. Also from my research,Yuneec has a great customer servive where DJI does not.
I have an AR Drone and generally I really like it. You can find 3rd party soaring apps that contain gamepad support which make it a lot more like flying a radio manipulated one. All the features that go to which makes it stable and easy to travel do work against learning to fly. The downside is the video is not really sufficient for aerial picture taking. Respectable enough for FPV. The largest disadvantage IMO is the number. You are blessed to get 50 meters from the device. A couple of ways to extend that but how much do you want to spend most get the AR due to cost being much more affordable then other similiar size HD FPV products. The Bebop will still have range issues but early video appears to indicate that it is much upgraded for aerial photography. If there ends up being truly a way to support gamepads then it goes to being more of player. The 400 us dollars for the controller is crazy Bird.
