I've just received this shape and constructed it, here are my first impressions: - An extremely well made design, no obvious flaws in creation. (I couldn't find any yet!) - It goes together easily. Use the pictures on Hobbyking to work it out, I started with the 'foot' parts then your centre, then finally I became a member of it all together with the tubes. - It appears like a work of art when assembled, it seems a shame to load this with wires and motors! - I purchased the recommended 2730 engine and Plush 12A ESC. The inter-hole distance on the motor unit mount seems marginally small for the slots on the framework but I don't think its impossible. I haven't yet attached the motors because the engine shaft protrudes just a little from the bottom so I will need to buy some spacers/washers. - The ESC appears perfectly made. Overall, I believe it appears like a great shape and I cannot wait to obtain it hovering!

this is a crock. dont get me wrong, i really like my phantom and ive liked understanding how to really take flight it. its a fantastic quadrotor for the purchase price and features. but you didnt mention the performance features that the 3dr single has. the orbit and cable tv cam ability exclusively on the single smokes a phantom all day long. im not expressing its difficult to figure out how to fly something similar to a phantom and film with it, since it has a airfare training sim built into the app. but you can take a solo out of the box and accomplish great aerial shots as a complete beginner. this is something you cannot do with a phantom, period. granted, you are limited to gopros (for now) with the solo, but who cares? the only real difference between a single and others is modularity". laughable, but this is a HUGE difference. this article is biased crap. get off the dji bandwagon.
