In this blog, I'm continuing my exploration of what Chris Anderson's company DIY Drones did in using open-source solutions to create products that are exponentially less expensive to make.
Take into account that the length of the propeller has too much to do with the KV of the motor. The bigger KV your motor unit has the smaller the propeller you'll need. Motors with less KV tend to take a flight better with longer propellers, as they offer additional balance. The pitch of your propellers can determine the quantity of thrust. A smaller pitch is much easier to soar, but provides less of an exciting flight experience. The final measurement to consider is the bore size. The bore is the hole located in the guts of the propeller that is linked to the shaft of the engine.
