Released in mid 2012, Syma X1 was an instant hit due to its low price point and superior performance. It has been very widely assessed online and has garnered a whole lot of praise. Much like lots of the earlier RC quadcopter models, the Syma X1 depends on only a 3-axis gyroscope to keep its stability, and in fact, it does so with astonishing capability. The rate and responsiveness of the Syma X1 is fast enough for a starter but you'll soon realize that the relatively heavy 350mAh power it lugs along is not doing the quad any favour. In my opinion, it is a very easy quadcopter to start with but offers little concern as you get started to learn flying. Its attractiveness as the best quadcopter for newcomers has since been overtaken by the Hubsan X4 H107L.
If you have never flown a quadcopter before, this unit uses SAFE technology to make the experience easy.
