You can buy up grade axles, but I don't recommend it as something else in the drivetrain may break that could be worse than an axle. One more thing, the shell (body) of the pick up truck tore after about a a short while. I fixed this with some velcro and it generally does not influence performance, but it still was kind of annoying. Either way, this pickup truck is very, very durable.
