GoPro's first drone has lots of unique features, starting with the gimbal arm, which can be removed and used independently from the Karma. In addition, it includes a no-fly-zone feature and an iphone app that lets your friends see the feed from the camera. The drone folds up and stores in the included backpack, and a controller with a touchscreen lets you see all the action. It's just too bad that you'll require to buy the camera individually; the Karma will work with the GoPro Hero 5 Dark and Hero 5 Period, and the Magic and Dark Hero 4 cams.
Unfortunately, Wi-fi was a concern. About 15 percent of the time, I had fashioned difficulty getting the Bebop to connect to my telephone or even to the optional SkyController before taking flight. I never really had the drone lose a connection while soaring, but it didn't instill a whole lot confidence. Indeed, I came across myself keeping the drone close by and was especially nervous about flying over water.
OK, I'll say that I've very mixed feelings about rc drones. To begin with, I personally don't like the name drone. The first-person view (FPV) from the camera is a major upgrade from the Phantom 2 Perspective+. The quality of the feed is much better, and the bond is pretty stable. This makes the traveling experience way cool, as possible reliably put it to use to see wherever the quad is (depth perception is trickier than you think). The real gain, though, is how much it boosts your photography. I've possessed so many pictures ruined because the framing was even simply a little off, or the tilt of the camera was incorrect. The Phantom 3 takes away those problems, giving you a reliable, clear view of your shot.
