I have an AR Drone and generally I really like it. A couple of 3rd party soaring apps that have gamepad support which make it much more like soaring a radio managed one. All of the features that go to which makes it stable and easy to journey do work against learning to fly. The downside is the training video is not really good enough for aerial photography. Reasonable enough for FPV. The biggest downside IMO is the range. You are lucky to get 50 meters from these devices. You can find ways to extend that but how much do you want to spend most find the AR due to cost being much more affordable then other similiar size HD FPV units. The Bebop will still have range issues but early video appears to indicate that it is much advanced for aerial picture taking. If there ends up being truly a way to support gamepads then it moves to being more of player. The 400 us dollars for the controller is crazy Parrot.
