The Super Heroes theme was officially introduced in January 2012, but promotional sets were released in 2011. This theme would include two of the major comic publication companies stock of people and put them into one LEGO Super Hero Universe. Marvel and DC comics willingness to licence their intellectual property under the same company show a massive admiration for LEGO and gratitude for his or her comic book admirers. The average person building sets were predicated on the respective companies property, but LEGO is all about mixing and complementing, so there is certainly nothing halting you from having your preferred heroes from the Marvel and DC universe hook up and join forces.
Just interested why there is absolutely no mention of the Syma x8c? It would be great for newcomers if not for it's size and mass, but other than that it's very affordable at ($70-100), very secure, easy to take flight, has a cam, headless function, and best of all it's very tough.
