Rated 4 out of 5 by MickeyD1983 from Better than what I expected I've purchased many RC aircraft, but from the box there have been always 'expected' alterations to be made and an expectation that it wouldn't perform just how that may be viewed on videos or in explanations right out of the box. That is completely different. It really is so smart! I didn't realize that it acquired so any hi-tech sensors. This thing basically hovers itself in a cluttered finished space from the box. It has an artificial intelligence feel to it. It was well designed. It looks strong material surrounded by Styrofoam and that's my only concern I guess. But it truly is a genuine drone in small size so I recommend it.
I'd say Phoenix is about as realistic as you can get without going to the field. Airplanes and helicopters are very close to the real thing. I came across that the Phantom was a little easier to travel on the sim but nonetheless it offers you some hands on experience prior to trying genuine. More blades usually means more stability and more lift. Octocopters are often the choice for aerial cinematography where the highest standards are anticipated. Very good news! When I purchased my first RC plane, I thought that gliders were too sophisticated and would be irritating to take a flight. Boy, was I wrong! In hindsight, I could have very easily started with a three route glider and had an enjoyable experience!
