The tiny drone is an inferior version of Parrot's much larger (and heavier) AR Drone , which, at about £300, was main commercially available toy drones in 2010 2010. At £90 or less the Spider continues to be expensive for a toy, but very cheap for a drone.
The live training video feed is good enough that you can get much closer to landmarks or objects in the length than would be possible using eyesight alone. That's not suggested, though, as you could easily miss some power cables, or other hard-to-see subject. The real enjoyment of the video recording stream is just knowing I acquired the best quadcopter shot. Onetime, I was soaring over the lake in a little canyon. I really do recommend purchasing a set up with everything in it alternatively than purchasing one item at the same time.
