Well-known drone-maker Parrot has been drawing quite a few onlookers to its booth at CES with two high-flying improvements to its robotic lineup: the MiniDrone and the Jumping Sumo. The MiniDrone is a small quadcopter that can journey in the air and move along the bottom using detachable wheels, while the Jumping Sumo is a remote-controlled surface bot that leaps in to the air utilizing a high-powered piston.
I tried an AirDog prototype greater than a year in the past , and Engadget received another look recently as well. But it was only last month that I finally got a peek at the version you can actually buy. I've flown a number of drones , but AirDog differs in a few key ways. It's simpler to use (virtually press a button and go), and it's designed to fit an active lifestyle (more upon this later). Just days and nights after getting my hands on the AirDog, GoPro CEO Nick Woodman would list these exact two qualities as being center to his product, Karma, during an interview at CES Interesting!
Some people travel without blade guards but if, like me, you're a newbie, I would definitely recommend attaching them. They're quite delicate but don't stress, they're very cheap to replace! This article in Popular Mechanics suggests ways to prevent them from doing that. How far along are we on the drone delivery forward?
