For the battery, 3DR equipped this badboy with a normal rechargeable 5,200 mAh 14.8Vdc lithium ion power, which allegedly gives it 25 minutes of airline flight time minus the camera, and about 20 minutes with it. Inside our tests, we found that this 20-minute estimation is actually a lttle bit modest unless you fly the drone very hard. We were able to keep our fully-loaded Solo in the air for nearly 22 minutes while keeping it at simply a ordinary ‘ol hover, however when you travel with a lttle bit more gusto, you will probably get from 15 to 18 minutes of trip time. From then on, it takes approximately one hour and 35 minutes to recharge each battery - so we highly recommend buying those hateful pounds if you intend to use Solo for any kind of serious videography.
