No matter how carefully you take flight your micro RC quad, expect around 5 time of cumulative journey time (i.e. about 40 to 50 flights) prior to the motors burn out. Taken into point of view, it is not too harmful to an initial quad as you'd have clocked enough mileage to go on to bigger models by enough time the motors start failing. It will take some soldering and consumer electronics skills to displace the motors that are also easily available at low cost.
